IndieForge Publishing was founded on a simple belief: the people who write books should be the ones who own them. After seeing too many writers sign away their rights to vanity presses, or lose years waiting on the traditional route, we set out to build something different: a forge where authors bring the raw material of a manuscript and leave with a finished, professional book that is entirely their own.

Every project is handled with the care of a craftsman and the respect of a fellow writer. We sweat the gutters and the drop caps, the keywords and the back-cover hook, so you can get back to what you do best: writing the next one.

Questions, answered.

Do I keep my rights and royalties?

Yes, 100%. We're a services company, not a publisher. You pay for production work, and your book, rights, and royalties remain entirely yours.

Will my book be published under your name?

No. Your book is published in your own platform accounts, under your name or your own imprint. IndieForge never appears as the publisher.

What file formats do you accept and deliver?

Send us your manuscript as a Word document (.docx) or Google Doc. You receive EPUB files for ebook retailers and print-ready PDFs for KDP Print and IngramSpark, plus your cover files.

How long does it take?

It depends on length and complexity. After checkout, our first email confirms the timeline for your specific project before any work begins.

How many revisions are included?

Every package and design or formatting service includes revision rounds, and our first email after checkout confirms exactly how many. Additional rounds are available if you need them.

Do I need my own ISBN?

Not necessarily. We'll explain the trade-offs between buying your own ISBNs from Bowker and using a free platform ISBN, and help you choose what fits your goals.

Do you offer editing?

Yes. Our editing partners offer developmental editing, line and copy editing, and proofreading by quote. Packages assume your manuscript is already edited and proofread; if it isn't, request an editing quote first.

Which platforms can you help me publish on?

Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Draft2Digital, Barnes & Noble Press, and Kobo Writing Life, among others.

How does payment work?

You pay the price shown on our site at checkout, securely through Payhip by card or PayPal. After purchase, we email you within 1–2 business days to get started. The one exception: very complex Specialized Layout projects (for example, heavily illustrated books or long indexes) may need a custom quote, so tell us about your book first.

How will we work together?

Online and on your schedule, and we keep you updated by email at every step: you get a written plan, drafts to review, and answers to your questions. When a step is easier to see than to read, we can send a recorded screen-share video walkthrough you can watch anytime.

How do I reach you?

Can I hire you for just one service?

Absolutely. Every service is available on its own from our à la carte menu, and packages simply bundle them at a better value.
